Renaldo Hill, the Chargers' defensive coordinator, is relocating to Miami to work with Vic Fangio, the Dolphins' defensive coordinator.
Hill will oversee the Dolphins' defensive pass-game, a source informed ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Fangio stated on Monday, "Renaldo is a competent coach first and foremost. "Definitely a gifted coach with a promising NFL career.
I valued his knowledge with me, the system, and what we do because he worked with us for two years in Colorado.
Yet despite that, what drew me to him was simply his talent as a wonderful coach."
According to a source who spoke to ESPN, the Chargers will elevate secondary coach Tommy Donatell to secondary coach and
defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley to defensive coordinator. The promotions were first reported by NFL Network.
It is anticipated that Chargers head coach Brandon Staley will continue to make play calls.
