Kings fan spat on 10-year-old cancer patient wearing Oilers jersey

According to Edmonton Oilers winger Evander Kane, a 10-year-old girl was spit on by a Los Angeles

Kings fan while she was sporting an Edmonton Oilers shirt during the teams' playoff game in Southern California.

After she became friends with Kane after her treatment, Cecily Eklund, who was given the news that she had brain cancer at the age of six,

attended Game 3 on Friday at Crypto.com Arena as a guest of Kane and the Ben Stelter Fund.

But according to Kane, at least one Kings fan engaged in "gross and completely unacceptable" behavior towards her.

"Last week, my close buddy [Cecily] had the opportunity to travel to LA, where she had some unforgettable moments.

However, some of her experiences in LA, particularly at Game 3 of the match, were not positive.

According to the Daily Hive, Kane posted on Instagram, "I'm outraged and dismayed at what happened to this lovely little girl in the stands

and in a women's lavatory where she was harassed for wearing her jersey and was spat on by a LA fan for doing so.
