Mitt Romney of Utah told Republican Rep. George Santos of New York: "You don't belong here."

As he entered the chamber for President Joe Biden's State of the Union speech, Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, made the comments.

Santos was blasted by Romney for being in the front aisle and "trying to shake hands" with the president and senators

given the fact that he's under ethical investigation," Romney said in a CNN interview following the address.

He stated that Santos may have responded to his statement, but he "didn't hear," adding that Santos

should be sitting in the back row and remaining quiet instead of parading in front of the president and others entering the room.
