Trans TikToker Dylan Mulvaney sat on the floor next to Drew Barrymore. Internet unrest followed.
Drew Barrymore and transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney had a vulnerable moment on TV when talking about
dealing with online hate. In response, the actor-turned-daytime talk show host launched an onslaught of online
hate in her own way — but Barrymore fans didn't take it too well. "There's so much hate and drama
and things get complicated, but even today you're meeting my role model — that's the best part,"
Mulvaney said on Monday's "The Drew Barrymore Show."Mulvaney, a comedian and musical theater
actor based in Hollywood with roles in "Book of Mormon" and "Spring Awakening,"
has been sharing her transformational journey over the past year on her episodic TikTok series "Days of Girlhood."
She has more than 10 million followers on the app and sat down for a high-profile chat with President Biden in October.
"I ask you about the negativity, how did you deal with it?" Barrymore asked. "I still read the comments," Mulvaney said.
