Watch 122 rescue dogs face off in this year’s Puppy Bowl

Numerous adoptable pets will compete in their own high-stakes competition just hours before the Chiefs take on the Eagles in this year's Super Bowl.

That's right, the Puppy Bowl XIX is approaching. Before the big game on Sunday afternoon,

Animal Planet will telecast the yearly television extravaganza. Here is all the information you need to know about the pup-ular competition.

The Puppy Bowl will also have two teams, just like the Super Bowl: Team Ruff (clad in orange bandanas) and Team Fluff (wearing blue).

The Chewy "Lombarky" trophy will be on the line amongst the canine competitors.

And don't worry if you can't distinguish between a touchdown and a field goal. In comparison to football, the Puppy Bowl has more simpler regulations.

The puppies will playfully roam a miniature football field decorated with chew toys while attempting to kick a ball into one of two end zones.

For the 12th consecutive year, Dan Schachner will be the game's "ruff-eree," while sportscasters Taylor Rooks and Steve

Levy will offer insightful analysis of the puppies' heroic efforts. The water bowl cam and the Pedigree puppy kiss cam are two more adored game highlights.
